Well it is time again for another wonderful book selection! Last month’s Water For Elephants received a thumbs up from the group and was found to be an easy read. We are ready to pick up the newest pick The Piano Teacher! I know that I, for one, am extremely excited since my order of Water For Elephants never arrived. I am holding my breath to see which book makes it here first…. The one I ordered last month or the one that I ordered on Friday….
If anyone has read this book… please comment below! We would love to hear your thoughts!

Our new book is picked! First let me apologize for not blogging about last month’s book : Unaccustomed Earth… Which by the way made it onto our Best of list on our webpage. You can find that information at www.dineandopine.com
I am excited for the newest book and can’t wait to hear everyone’s thoughts!
How to Make Love Like a Porn Star by Jenna Jameson
by Karie on Mar.17, 2010, under Books
Well here we go… this month’s book is a cautionary tale wrote by none other than Jenna Jameson. So what made us vote on this book? Was it that our last few attempts to have a “climatic” book has failed? i.e. The MasterBedroom… or is it just that this book has received such rave reviews that we has to see what the fuss was all about?
The only thing that I know is why I choose to put this book as one of my picks… (and too vote for it as well)… I’m intrigued. So I have started reading the book- as I know so many of you have as well and I have to say- I’m still intrigued. Reading this book has also increased my workout… I set the bike timer for 20 minutes and 40 minutes later I realized I was still peddling even after the timer went off. Every day I find myself picking up the book even if I only have 5 minutes (And sometimes even less) just to read that next paragraph… so I can say- ‘no’… ’she didn’t'… ‘omg’ .. and even laugh a little. (Come on- the outfit choices are rather comical)
So ladies- speak up! Let’s get this blog going… This is a book that you have to have something to say about!!!

It has been slow -trying to following the criss crossing family lines- seems to be slowing me down. I can’t help it! the tree doesn’t branch very often and you end up reading about someone’s uncle, cousin Husband……come on!! Anyone else having a hard time?????

South Of Broad
by Karie on Dec.01, 2009, under Books
Dine and Opine’s book of choice this month is South of Broad by Pat Conroy. I myself am quite interested in reading this for the sole purpose to see how Charleston is depicted in the story. I love Charleston, so I don’t want my view tainted!! LOL. I am not very far in the book at the moment. Just in the first chapter or so, however I hope to be able to dedicate a few hours to the book tonight. I thought that I was going to get ready done over Thanksgiving and our trip to visit Family…. HAHA.. boy was I wrong about that! I hope that you girls are enjoying the book. Let me know your thoughts!!
